Jared & Erin Miller have joined Athletes in Action as (basketball) missionary staff after years of successful coaching, counseling, and administration; primarily in Christian Schools.
An ambassador for Christ & a builder of people and programs, Coach Jared Miller brings diverse coaching experience to the newly forming AIA Prep Academy. Miller has coaching experience in a few other sports but has coached basketball since 2002 at various levels. Integral in the growth of Mountain Mission School (VA) to the national level, Jared has also coached at Sunrise Christian Academy (KS), and Tri City Christian Elite (NC). Finding his niche with international players since 2013, he has coached 25+ college athletes; including aiding in the development of over 15 division one players, a McDonald's All American, the 2022 NCAA consensus player of the year, an NCAA National Champion, and the seventh pick in the 2021 NBA draft 7 2022 NBA Champion. Several alumni in Miller's programs have begun professional careers overseas. For most of these student-athletes he also facilitated their coming to play in the US. This vast & diverse experience has allowed Jared to build many relationships within the basketball community.
With a passion for students, their goals, and their giftedness Erin brings a skill set and focus on the student athletes' future endeavors. Much of her experiences have developed surrounding the translation of international transcripts, scheduling of courses, and advising students about colleges, opportunities, and offerings that fit who God has created them to be. Erin enjoys seeing young people reach their full potential in Christ, both on and off the court. Miller will be able to guide AIA Prep athletes into their futures so they can be better prepared for life, not only at the next level, but after the ball stops bouncing.
The Millers are excited to begin their journey with Athletes in Action and to have an impact for Christ as a light in the basketball world as they pursue the mission of building spiritual movements EVERYwhere through the platform of sport so that EVERYone knows someone who follows Jesus.
